An alphabetical listing of our ministries appears to the right. Ministries have a twofold dimension:
- Ministries are ways that we can answer Jesus’ call to serve one another. Becoming involved in ministry is a sure way to begin to meet other people in the parish and to gain a sense of “belonging.” Many times we don’t realize that God has given us gifts to share with others until we begin to use them. Sometimes the gift is “what we do,” but many times it is the gift of “who we are.” No one else can share the gift that is YOU, so please consider whatever ministry you feel drawn to at this time!
- On the other hand, perhaps you are in need of the service of a particular ministry. Look through this list of ministries to see if there is a way that we can support you and help you to realize that we’re here for you and you are not alone.
Discover Your Spiritual Gifts
A great way to get connected with others is to get involved in ministry. You were born with gifts and abilities, and as a member of the Body of Christ, you have a real purpose planned by God. God is glorified and the church is blessed when every member of the body is in ministry!
There are so many areas of ministry in the church in which to be involved. How do you choose? Identify your spiritual gifts by taking the Gift Inventory. This will help you identify general areas of ministry where you can use your gifts and in which you were meant to participate. Print out this Gift Inventory and complete it and try to discern where God may be leading you.
Once you have identified your spiritual gifts, you can mail it back to us, leave it in the special box in the Narthex or drop it off in the Parish Ministry Center front office. Someone will contact you to help you get involved!
Please browse our ministries and see what might interest you. Feel free to explore. Ask questions. Think about taking a step to make Church come alive for you in a new way.
If you have moved to St. Hubert from another parish and you see that there is a ministry missing that you have been involved in and would like to help develop here, please contact Marie Staffa at 847-885-7700 x124.
