WHY CATHOLIC EDUCATION? DID YOU KNOW?
  • Catholic schools have a proven record of bringing out the best in every child, regardless of background. And every school in America should live up the standard you have set in Catholic Schools. –excerpt from President George W. Bush’s Speech at the National Catholic Education Association Centennial Year Symposium.
  • The Archdiocese of Chicago’s Catholic School system is the largest non-public school system in the nation, with approximately 112,000 students and 5,800 teachers.
  • The attendance rate of students in Catholic elementary schools is 97%, while the rate of Catholic secondary schools in the Archdiocese is 95%.
  • Ninety-nine percent of students who attend Catholic secondary schools graduate and 93% of students who attend Catholic high schools attend college.
  • All Catholic elementary schools use Terra Nova as the testing/assessment program because of its focus on National Standards. Archdiocese of Chicago school students test well into the 60th percentile on average. The national norm is in the 50th percentile.
