Parish Pastoral Council
The Parish Pastoral Council is the consultative body of the parish and shares responsibility with the pastor for the pastoral life of the
parish. St. Hubert’s Parish Pastoral Council strives to discern the movement of
the Holy Spirit among God’s people in the parish for the purpose of
investigating and weighing matters that bear on pastoral activities and
formulating practical conclusions regarding them. It is a representative body
rather than body of representatives.
Function
The function of the Parish Pastoral Council is to provide the climate in which parishioners can grow in a deeper relationship with God and
each other, and to minister to the total well being of parish members, be they
individuals or families. Through prayer, study and discernment, the parish
council recommends policies, services and support programs to meet the needs of
the parish and reach out to the larger community. The Parish Pastoral Council
encourages and supports parish ministries and identifies and provides for the
communal, social, spiritual and educational needs of all of the parishioners.
Ministry Activities
To serve on the Parish Pastoral Council, members need the following attributes An ability to work in a discernment process A balanced
approach to problems A feeling of comfort in dealing with feelings A vision of
the mission of the Church as taught by the Second Vatican Council A willingness
to make the necessary time commitment Regular meetings of the Parish Pastoral
Council are held monthly, from 7:00-9:30 in the parish center. The Parish
