Communications Ministry
Keeping Parishioners Informed. We are always looking for new ideas on how to improve communications within the
parish. Know that your ideas will be heard and your efforts will be rewarded
with a better-informed, more educated parish.
The Communications Ministry seeks individuals interested in improving communications within the parish.
Ministry members examine the current communications efforts, brainstorm new
possibilities and seek to develop more effective means of disseminating
information within our parish community. This Ministry is also an important link
to all other parish ministries.
The Work of the Ministry
One of the first projects that the Communications Ministry tackled was a survey of the parishioners to gather
opinions of how well they felt information was communicated at St. Hubert, as
well as what type of communication individuals personally found more effective.
With the results of this survey, we were able to find out what parishioners
preferred or envisioned as far as communications was concerned. We took the
results of that survey and set up priorities to develop different ways to
communicate with parishioners. Another project the Communications Ministry
produced, with assistance from the ministry leaders, was informational brochures
for most of the parish ministries. With these brochures, we are able to both
educate parishioners as to what ministries are available to them and also help
ministries recruit new members.
Who Are We Looking For?
The Communications Ministry is looking for people who have experience in communications including print, radio,
television and web development. We also need people with the desire to work for
better communications within the parish. New ideas and fresh enthusiasm are
always welcome. Know that your ideas will be heard and your efforts will be
rewarded with a better- informed, more educated parish.
Time Commitment
Members of the Communications Ministry meet one evening per month to discuss communications efforts within the
parish and to work on communications projects.
