Meet the St.
Hubert Finance Council
(photo from meeting on 3-3-08)

Ripoli, Dean Hoppesch,

Julie Bosshart (not pictured Paul Caponigri).
Purpose & History:
The Finance Council has an advisory and consultative role with the
Pastor. Every Parish is required to have a Finance Council. The
current Finance Council has been in place since January 2006.
Chairperson Don Ripoli has served
on the Finance Council for over 20
years.
Membership:
The Finance Council membership should be drawn from the parish community
and reflect its diversity. Members currently serving on the Finance
Council have backgrounds in Audit, Finance, Accounting, Business,

Role:
The Finance Council works closely with the Pastor, who is accountable
for the administration and stewardship of the temporal goods of the
Parish. More specifically, the Finance Council reviews financial
statements, budgets, internal controls
and parish expenditures greater
than $10,000. Members are assigned to subcommittees including Budget,
Facilities & Maintenance, Financial Planning & Development, and
Communications. Members also act as liaisons to other parish groups
such
as the Parish Council, School Board, Religious Education, and Youth
Ministry.
Questions?
The Finance Council Chairperson is Donald Ripoli. He can be contacted
through Teresa McCutchan, 847-885-7700 at St. Hubert Parish. Her email

Peace and Justice Ministry
The U.S. bishops have agreed to meet with a group of Catholic House
Democrats to discuss how to pursue the goal of a "responsible
transition" to
end the war in Iraq.
They also reiterated their call for members of Congress and the Bush
administration to break the political stalemate in Washington
and
"forge bipartisan policies on ways to bring about a responsible
transition and an end to the war."

Mission
The St. Hubert Jobs & Networking
Ministry is a fellowship of men and women with a common desire to become
employed or seek career advancement through a Christian forum.
There are no dues or fees for
membership. We are self-supporting through our own contributions.
The mission of this ministry is
to provide a Christian community for job seekers. Christian beliefs and
fellowship will govern the ministry’s meeting, actions and processes. These
processes will include worship, practical job-finding methods, tools and
classical networking with others to gain insight into individually targeted
career pursuits and methods for overcoming the barriers inherent in the job
market. Resources such as spiritual strengthening, career guidance, Internet
resources and video presentations will be made available to enhance our
probability of success. There will be personal need referral information for
family need beyond that satisfied by the career materials to direct those in
need to trained and skilled assistance.
Our primary purpose is to
prepare the attendee to face the challenges of a new job search and to shorten
the time of unemployment, underemployment or alternative-employment connection.
Meeting
Dates - 2010
Start: 7:00 p.m. End: 9:15 p.m.
Join us for an evening of Christian support,
job seeking skills assistance, and networking into your next job opportunity.
All job seekers are welcome.
